Regulations of the Local Ethics Committee (LEK) Institute for Frontier Areas of Psychology and Mental Health e.V. (IGPP)
2. Psychological research projects that are to be financed with third-party funds should be submitted to the Ethics Committee of the German Psychological Society. In the case of externally funded medical research projects, the Ethics Committee of the Medical Faculty of the University of Freiburg i. Br. should be consulted.
II. The Commission provides assistance and advice to researchers at IGPP with regard to ethical and legal aspects of their research involving human subjects. The commission acts at the request of the researcher or the institute management. Further details are set out in the rules of procedure.
II. The members of the LEK are proposed by the Research Committee of IGPP and elected by the Research Committee for a period of four years.
III The Chairperson of the LEK and his/her deputy are elected by the LEK members.
IV. Collaboration in the LEK-IGPP is on a voluntary basis.
V. The names of the members of the LEK-IGPP are published on the website of IGPP and in the activity reports.
VI The Ethics Committee may, if necessary, consult further experts for the decision-making process.
