These include, for example, parapsychology and psi experiments, paranormal belief systems, near-death experiences, out-of-body experiences, UFO reports, cryptozoology, astrology, complementary healing methods, reincarnation, the history, theory and sociology of science, skepticism and much more.<\/p>\n<p>The first issue of the Zeitschrift f\u00fcr Anomalistik appeared in 2001 and was published by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anomalistik.de\/\">Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Anomalistik e. V.<\/a> (GfA, Society for Anomalistics) with three issues per year. The editor responsible in the first few years was the sociologist <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Edgar_Wunder\">Edgar Wunder<\/a>, followed by the philosopher Gerd H. H\u00f6velmann (from 2009-2017). In 2017, the psychologist and IGPP employee <a href=\"https:\/\/igpp.de\/en\/team\/gerhard-mayer\/\">Gerhard Mayer<\/a> took over as editor. Since this time, the journal has also accepted articles in English in order to reach an international readership and authorship.<\/p>\n<p>Since the 21st volume in 2021, the Journal of Anomalistics has been published under the joint editorship of the GfA and the IGPP. There is an English and a German abstract for each article and the title of the journal has been supplemented by the English translation of the original title: Journal of Anomalistics \/ Zeitschrift f\u00fcr Anomalistik.
