This includes information on the spread and phenomenology of parapsychic experiences as well as expert knowledge on the development, methods, results and problems of interdisciplinary and international research into paranormal (‘anomalistic’) phenomena and exceptional experiences. The emphasis is on the more than 70 years of research and counseling work of the Freiburg Institute, which is reflected in our extensive research library<\/a> and research archive<\/a>. The Institute offers a special range of counseling and therapy services for people who are looking for help in coping with and dealing with disturbing or stressful \u201coccult\u201d, \u201cpsychic\u201d and paranormal experiences (\u201cmental health\u201d).<\/p>\n

The institute neither provides addresses of \u201cscientifically tested\u201d clairvoyants, mediums, healers, dowsers or astrologers, nor does it establish contacts with people with extraordinary (\u201cparanormal\u201d) experiences for the press, radio, television or podcasts. If you would like to seek advice or help from psychics, healers, etc. for personal reasons, we recommend that you first contact our counseling team.<\/p>\n

The institute does not offer any \u201ccertificates\u201d or \u201cdocuments\u201d stating that the test subjects possess special \u201cpsi abilities\u201d or a paranormal \u201cgift\u201d through participation in experimental investigations at the IGPP. ExE are experiences that are commonly referred to as “supernatural”, “paranormal”, “magical”, etc. They have always been part of the spectrum of human experiences and are known in all cultures. Many people view ExE positively and are able to integrate them into their everyday lives. Under certain circumstances, however, they also trigger insecurities and fears that are not easy to deal with.<\/p>\n
