Beratungserfahrung am IGPP zeigen, dass au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnliche Erfahrungen h\u00e4ufig auftreten, wenn Menschen sich in einer Phase mentaler Instabilit\u00e4t befinden (junge Menschen in der Pubert\u00e4t, Menschen mit psychischen Belastungen nach einem traumatischen Erlebnis etc.). Die erlebten ungew\u00f6hnlichen Ph\u00e4nomene treten dabei in der Regel unerwartet auf und sind weder vorhersagbar noch kontrollierbar. Eine wissenschaftliche Untersuchung solcher Ph\u00e4nomene im Labor gestaltet sich unter anderem deshalb schwierig.<\/p>\n

Ein Forschungsansatz am IGPP, diese Ph\u00e4nomene besser zu verstehen, greift auf ein bew\u00e4hrtes Prinzip wissenschaftlicher Forschung zur\u00fcck: Wir nutzen sogenannte Wahrnehmungsinstabilit\u00e4ten als Labormodell f\u00fcr mentale Instabilit\u00e4ten. Wahrnehmungsinstabilit\u00e4t entsteht, wenn Menschen \u00fcber l\u00e4ngere Zeit mehrdeutige Figuren betrachten, wie den ber\u00fchmten Necker-W\u00fcrfel, Borings alte\/junge Frau oder die Kaninchen-Ente-Kippfigur. Die Wahrnehmung der betrachtenden Person wird instabil und wechselt unvorhersehbar zwischen mindestens zwei m\u00f6glichen Interpretationen, obwohl das betrachtete Bild unver\u00e4ndert bleibt.<\/p>\n

In meinem Vortrag werde ich zwei Beispiele vorstellen, wie solche Wahrnehmungsinstabilit\u00e4t als Labormodell f\u00fcr mentale Instabilit\u00e4t genutzt werden kann und was wir daraus \u00fcber mentale Instabilit\u00e4ten und m\u00f6glicherweise \u00fcber au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnliche Ph\u00e4nomene lernen k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n
